Missions Trip, May 2018
In a recent trip, our Singapore team led by Senior Pastor David Seah spent a weekend in Kalaymyo city with the local church leaders and members. The youth from the Hakkha Chin state travelled 8 hours by motorbike to participate in the weekend of Bible teaching and worship. Teaching and prayer sessions were carried out in the mornings and evenings on these days. One of the focuses during the teaching sessions was about giving to the Lord and his His work. Giving tithes and offerings was an act of obedience and an outward response of lives fully committed to the Lord for his His work. For the church leaders, sound principles of financial governance and accountability were imparted while several practical aspects of giving were shared with the members.

The passion of the members to preach of the gospel was evident. Van Biak Tluang (Biak), aged 26 and a father of 2, works among the youth in the city of Kalaymyo, organising rallies every fortnight. To support his ministry and family, Biak relies on the financial support of overseas partners and gifts from the local churches where he preaches. He supplements his earnings by working part-time as a brick-maker. He plans to return to Bible school soon to complete his theological studies.
